Student Affairs Professional Development and Onboarding
Welcome to USD's Student Affairs Community!
We are thrilled that you have chosen USD's Student Affairs Community to share your unique gifts, knowledge, and talents. Now that you've joined us, we look forward to have you join us in creating and delivering a one of a kind experience for our students! As you begin your journey with us, we want to provide you an onboarding experience that will enhance your ability to be successful. Through the onboarding experience, you will be introduced to topics that will familiarize you with how we work with students, with one another, and live out the mission of the university.
You are expected to view five recorded onboarding sessions within the first two months of your employment and then meet with your supervisor to discuss the content and any questions. The session topics are listed below, along with a description of each one.
For additional information regarding Student Affairs onboarding, please contact Dr. Donald Godwin, Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students or Dr. Sean Horrigan, Director of University Centers and Staff Development.
