Continent drift and plateau uplift drive evolutions of Asia-Africa-Australia monsoon and arid regions

Distribution patterns of the Asian-African-Australian monsoon regions (green) and arid regions (yellow) in five geological periods during the Cenozoic. (a) mid-Paleocene (~60Ma); (b) late-Eocene (~40M

USD professor in Environmental and Ocean Sciences Dr. Zhi-Yong Yin (AKA John Yin) collaborates with scientists from across the globe to study the history of climate variations. In a recent article on EurekAlert.org, Dr. Yin had a new publication of his featured titled Continent drift and plateau uplift drive evolutions of Asia-Africa-Australia monsoon and arid regions. In this article, Dr. Yin and his collaborators investigate the formation and evolution of these regions and their controlling factors.

Congratulations on another successful publication, Dr. Yin!
