Leonie Sandelbaum '14 Gives Inside Look at Financial Industry Throughout COVID-19

MBA alumna, Leonie Sandelbaum '14, sits down with Dee Kayalar, USD's assistant director of alumni engagement, for a Zoom interview on COVID-19's impact on our lives both inside and outside of the office.

Leonie gives an inside look at how she has helped her company, ING, navigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic from day one, as well as advice for students on how to pursue a career and succeed in the financial industry.

Leonie Sandelbaum is the Head of Client Servicing in Wholesale Banking (WB) Operations at ING, a Dutch multinational banking and financial services corporation. She also serves as Deputy COO for the WB Transaction Services/Group Treasury domain delivering fundamental, innovative and groundbreaking servicing experience for corporate clients.

Before joining ING in 2016, Leonie worked for over seven years at Deloitte & IBM Consulting in Germany advising big universal banks in post-merger integration, outsourcing and core banking implementation projects. Over the past 12 years, Leonie has gained broad experience in international transformation projects and holds an International Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of San Diego School of Business.
