USD SOLES offers this standalone Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate to prepare you for a career teaching English, locally and globally. As a result of earning a TESOL certificate, candidates acquire the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to effectively teach English to English Language Learners. TESOL certificate holders will have the expertise to be employed in various education settings as English as a Second Language (ESL) instructors in language institutes, in private and public international schools, businesses, nonprofit agencies, and community agencies.

Graduate-Level Credit 

  • Earn 15 units of graduate-level credit, transferable to USD's MA in TESOL, Literacy, and Culture program
  • Cost: $1555 per unit
