|Title||Leadership and Mindfulness Practice|
The purpose of this course is to provide graduate students with an introduction and deepening of mindfulness practices. The course has two core components. The first is indeed the focus on the study and development of mindfulness practices with special attention to their role in leadership. The other focus is on the emerging body of empirical research that points to the importance of mindfulness in enhancing personal and professional development. Students will be expected to become conversant with such research, develop applied processes that support the mindfulness of others, and engage in peer-to-peer learning aimed at sustaining practices beyond the classroom.
