Daniela Olguin

Daniela Olguin is the Events and Marketing Manager at the San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative (SDRCC), where she leads event coordination and develops marketing materials that support a diverse portfolio of programs, including Energy Academy and SHADE SD. In her role, she creates engaging graphics, manages event logistics, and plans and executes strategic marketing initiatives.

Daniela brings a strong background in Sociology, with a focus on the intersections of race, ethnicity, and higher education. She earned her BA in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside, and her MA in Sociological Practice from California State University San Marcos. Her research examined the Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) designation and its effectiveness from a student perspective. Her work, “They Hyped It Up”: Hispanic Serving Institution Designation and Effectiveness According to Latinx Student Experiences,” is available through CSU ScholarWorks.

Her background in Sociology and nonprofit work informs her work, allowing her to bring a critical and intersectional perspective to climate work.
