Workshops and Retreats

The CLA offers workshops, seminars, and retreats designed to transform individuals and organizations. We train leaders on a variety of topics, helping them get comfortable with the uncomfortable so they may expand their thinking and explore the patterns and habits that both hinder and help them in their leadership. We teach new approaches to change in order to help leaders identify solutions to maximize their potential, and we work to strengthen leaders’ ability to make a difference.

Certifications

Dare to Lead™ certificate based on the research of Brené Brown: 

Individuals who successfully complete the full 16-hour Dare to Lead program will receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to put a Dare to Lead Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.
Individual modules of the Dare to Lead™ training is also available in 90 minute to 4 hour sessions.
 
About Dare to Lead™: Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals.The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.

Collaborative Leadership for Change (CLC) Certificate: 

Designed to build a culture of conscious leadership within higher education, this series incorporates the best of leadership theory, including adaptive leadership (Ron Heifetz, Harvard), Dare to Lead™ (Brene´Brown, Univ. of Houston), Humble Inquiry (Edgar Schein, MIT), and others. Targeting upper level campus leadership, this program is grounded in the notion that all community members on a university campus contribute to the success of the community. Working to both develop individual leadership capacity and foster genuine cross-campus collaboration, participants explore new ways of exercising leadership, engage in dialogue to create connection and discover solutions to their most pressing problems.
 
Program consists of eight workshops, each 4 hours in length. Schedule options include: 
  • Eight monthly individual sessions, four hours each
  • Four day-long sessions, 8 hours each
  • Two, two-day sessions
  • One 4-day intensive.
