Kedir Assefa Tessema
Ph.D. in Leadership Studies
Kedir Assefa Tessema held faculty positions in two Ethiopian universities before he began his doctoral studies. He also held various administrative responsibilities. He was a department chair for four years and a coordinator of the English Language Center for two years at Haramaya University and he was an assistant dean and head of alumni office at Addis Adaba University.
Prior to coming to the University of San Diego, Kedir participated extensively in several national, institutional and personal research projects and visitations. The outcomes of his research efforts have been published in internationally refereed journals, including the Journal of In-Service Education, Teaching Education, Educational Action Research, Higher Education Quarterly, International Journal of Progressive Education, and Asian EFL Journal.
His research interests include higher education, teacher education, leadership studies, academic writing and engagement, and social change.
