Florencia Lebensohn-Chialvo, Ph.D. received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona and completed her predoctoral internship in Clinical Child Psychology at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. Dr. Lebensohn-Chialvo also holds an M.A. in Psychology and B.A. in History and Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona.

Dr. Lebensohn-Chialvo’s scholarly work seeks to identify effective training strategies for behavioral health clinicians in evidence-based practices, with a particular emphasis on those working in integrated care settings (e.g. primary and specialty care clinics)  and with underserved and linguistically diverse communities. Dr. Lebensohn-Chialvo currently serves as Project Director of a Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Grant. Dr. Lebensohn-Chialvo is a native of Argentina and provides Spanish-language supervision and support to our bilingual students.

Dr. Lebensohn-Chialvo teaches Practicum (MFTS 595P-597P), Family Therapy Theories 1 (MFTS 523), Systemic Treatment of Children (MFTS 541), and Collaborative Care (MFTS 563).
