Online Registration

Online registration:

All units must be completed as of January 31, 2016.
All holds must be cleared before you can reserve your class.

USD graduate students may reserve their courses online at any time during these four weeks.

Note: After March 30 online registration is closed to all summer registrations; you may not add or drop summer classes online. [See Walk-in Registration]

Online Registration Tuition Due Date

Tuition payment for courses reserved using online registration is due Friday, April 8, 2016. Class registration is not officially completed until all tuition and fees are paid. Students who have not paid their tuition in full for classes registered online on or before April 8 will be assessed an interest fee of .8333% of their tuition. Students who register after the first day of their summer class will be charged a late fee of $150. For more information see the payment and refund policy for Student Financial Services.

Walk-in Registration

Walk-in registration begins Monday, April 4 at 9 a.m. in the One Stop Student Center.

Registering for a class after online registration closes:

To register for a class after the online registration period closes on March 30 you will need to either visit the One Stop in person or submit a request via the "Ask One Stop" form located on the My San Diego portal in the One Stop Student Services Channel. Your request should include the CRN of the course you are trying to add. If you are submitting your request online please ensure that you have either made full payment for the class or that you have approved financial aid on file to cover the course.

If you are visiting the One Stop Student Center in person please bring with you:

  • Add/Drop Form
  • Payment for tuition in full, in the form of a check, made payable to USD, online payment confirmation number, or complete the financial aid process as described under Payment Options.

Mailed registration and tuition must be post-marked no later than Friday, May 13, 2016 and must be mailed to:

Include your name and student ID# on all correspondence.

Last Day to Register for Classes

Students have until the first day of the class to register for class(es). After the first day of the class, a $150 late fee will be assessed. For courses that start at or after 4 p.m., registration without a late fee is available until the next day at 5 p.m.

Official Withdrawal

If you decide not to take a course that you reserved, you must drop the course in person at the One Stop Student Center. If you fail to attend the class you signed up for, and you do not go to the One Stop Student Center to officially withdraw, you will be assigned a grade of “F” and charged for the class.

If you do not officially withdraw, you will be responsible for your registration charges.
