Trever F. Acers, Managing Director

Trever F. Acers is a Managing Director at Objective Capital Partners. Mr. Acers draws on his 20+ years of investment banking, acquisition, and strategy experience advising middle market companies on transaction execution and strategy.

Prior to founding Objective, Mr. Acers served as a Director at TGG Capital, where he led the firm’s financial and strategy consulting operations. Previously, he was Director of The Oxford Investment Group’s Western U.S. private equity activities and Managing Partner at Passage Venture Capital Partners. Earlier in his career, he managed the post-acquisition integration and continuing operations of three entities with total annual revenues of $29 million for EMC Corporation, and led business performance improvement engagements for KPMG Consulting.

Mr. Acers has a MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management with a finance concentration and a bachelor’s degree with high honors in business administration from the University of San Diego. He holds FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses and is a Registered Representative of BA Securities LLC, Member FINRA SIPC.

As an executive manager and entrepreneur, David Foos brings more than 25 years' experience in startups, turn-arounds and Fortune 50 companies.  David is co-founder and former CEO of Teamvibe, a SaaS company that helps companies streamline and optimize internal communications. Over the last 7 years David’s executive consulting work at Massive Dynamics Labs, LLC spans an array of international companies such as Sonata Services (Hong Kong) and Southend Interactive (Malmo, Sweeden). As interim CEO of Room 5, Inc. he successfully executed the restructure and spin-out of the company from international parent company, Tactel AB; Room 5 was then acquired by Danish consulting firm, Ciklum, AB.

David's passion for launching new products and technology combined with his desire to build high-performing teams has been a winning combination throughout his carrier. His experience in executive management, sales, product marketing, engineering management and finance are the foundation to David's repeated success. David founded Telacies, Inc (acquired by EuroRSCG, a Havas Company), served at Azingo (acquired by Motorola Mobility, a Google Company), Zyray Wireless (acquired by Broadcom), and PrairieComm (acquired by Freescale Semiconductor).

Before joining Delphi, Cindy worked for 9 years in advisor positions at large publicly traded investment firms. She was inspired to join Delphi because of its team of individuals who genuinely care about their clients and have the necessary skills to truly help.

Cindy is committed to helping Delphi’s clients avoid the pitfalls of self-interested wire houses and banks. She aims to introduce clients to a different way of doing business, one that can potentially smooth volatility and achieve desirable outcomes.

Cindy is happy to call Solana Beach home, along with her young daughter, Giselle, the light of her life. She loves traveling internationally and to date has logged 57 countries and over 176 cities. When she’s not on a plane, you can find her swimming in the ocean, tending to one of her 75 rosebushes, or cooking a gourmet meal.

Jeremy has over three decades of experience guiding life sciences and technology companies in their growth and financing strategies. He routinely assists his clients in public offerings, angel and venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and SEC compliance. His experiences as an executive at a technology company and an  investment fund facilitates his  ability to provide practical business as  well as legal advice. Jeremy also drives content for the MintzEdge website, an online resource for entrepreneurs.

Jeremy serves as Co-chair of the firm’s Venture Capital & Emerging Companies Practice. Jeremy regularly represents technology-based companies principally in the life sciences, software, mobile applications, and clean energy fields. He represents both issuers and underwriters in a wide variety of securities transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, and private placements, and represents venture capital firms, hedge funds and their portfolio companies in venture capital and PIPE financings. He has deep experience representing buyers and sellers in acquisitions and dispositions of public and private companies. Jeremy is also a key contributor to MintzEdge, an online resource for entrepreneurs that includes useful tools and information for starting and growing a company.

Jeremy routinely assists his clients in growing their businesses and obtaining financing, guiding companies from initial organization through angel and venture capital financings, initial public offerings, strategic alliances, and mergers and acquisitions.

Jeremy brings a unique combination of practical legal and business experience to his clients, having served as general counsel and a partner at Sterling Stamos Capital Management, LP, an investment management company managing hedge funds and a private equity fund, and as a member of the senior management team of Medibuy.com, Inc., a Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, and Oak venture-backed B2B software company focused on the health care services industry. Jeremy is a member of the board of directors of REBOOT! National Veterans Transition Service, Inc. (NVTSI) and the board of directors of   the USS Midway Museum. NVTSI is a San Diego-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting veterans in adjusting to civilian life and securing meaningful employment.

Matthew Goldberg

Matthew L. Goldberg, Principal in the Valuation and Business Analytics

Matthew Goldberg is a Principal in the Valuation and Business Analytics group of BDO and leads the group’s Complex Financial Instruments and Hard-to-Value Assets Practice. Having over 15 years of consulting and financial services experience, he has performed valuation analyses for clients in numerous industries including financial services, energy, life sciences, technology, media, industrial, retail, and manufacturing.

Mr. Goldberg has extensive experience valuing a wide range of debt products and complex derivatives including adjustable stock options and warrants, restricted stock units, performance-based shares, convertible debt instruments, municipals, a variety of credit products and other hedging instruments such as interest rate swaps and put/call strategies.

He has been involved in numerous engagements including assisting management in strategic planning, performing projects for financial reporting and tax reporting, and providing consulting services related to mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Goldberg has worked on numerous valuation assignments for purposes of ASC 718 and ASC 805 intangible asset valuation and purchase price allocations, ASC 350 goodwill impairment analyses, and international tax valuations.

Prior to joining BDO, Mr. Goldberg worked in Ernst & Young LLP’s Transaction Advisory Services Practice providing valuation services. His experience includes providing consulting services for buy- and sell-side transactions, investment banking, pre- acquisition due diligence, and business interruption analyses.

Jenna Layton

Jenna H. Leyton-Jones, Esq.

Jenna H. Leyton-Jones represents a diverse spectrum of business entities in all aspects of employment litigation, including defense of claims involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes and trade secret misappropriation. She also provides counseling to employers on a variety of day-to-day employment matters, and routinely lectures on employment law trends and developments at human resource seminars. Jenna is also a co-founder of the firm’s appellate practice group.

Jenna has served as the Vice President of Legislation for the San Diego Society for Human Resource Management, and has been selected for inclusion on Super Lawyers Rising Stars, San Diego Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar,” and San Diego Magazine’s “Top Lawyer” lists.

Jenna graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, she received the Faculty Achievement Scholarship and D’Angelo Outstanding Child Advocate Award. Working with the Children’s Advocacy Institute, Jenna lobbied and published an article to support increased funding for California’s foster care system. She also served on the executive boards of the Women’s Law Caucus and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity. Prior to law school, Jenna graduated with Highest Honors from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded the Departmental Citation for outstanding academic achievement.
