All new University of San Diego websites use a responsive framework. In a nutshell responsive design is a way of designing websites that can adapt to a range of screen sizes and device types.
Our main website introduces millions of people around the world to the University of San Diego, so it's important for the site to present that introduction on any number of platforms including computers, tablets, and mobile devices of varying sizes.
Designed to support recent versions of common browsers that account for the majority of all visits, and still be usable for the remainder, USD's responsive design fits small screen devices, like phones, held in landscape or portrait mode; the iPad, held in landscape or portrait mode; smaller tablets held in portrait mode; and laptop and desktop computer displays.
Please see the timeline on this website to see when your school or department website will be responsive.
