Dr. Georges has been at Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science since 1996. She has a deep commitment to the School and to the promotion of excellence in nursing. On July 1, 2017, Dr. Georges became Interim Dean for the USD Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science. She is looking forward to drawing upon her years of first-hand experience with students of all levels in her new role. She shares the vision of her faculty colleagues in making USD’s School of Nursing a place of new horizons for all our students. Dr. Georges’ previous administrative experience includes serving as Chairperson of the University Institutional Review Board for the past decade, as well as extensive leadership experience in the clinical setting. Her scholarship is focused on palliative care, with an emphasis on the relief of suffering and the promotion of compassion. She is delighted to be of service to the University in this new role and welcomes input and dialogue with all members of the nursing community. As a native of San Diego County, Dr. Georges is extremely proud to be a part of the USD family. She is dedicated to continuing the Hahn School of Nursing’s tradition of living the USD change maker mission by advancing nursing in Southern California.
