2026 Undergraduate Honors Convocation

Every corner of the University of San Diego converged in Shiley Theatre Tuesday to honor the highest achieving undergraduates before they walk the commencement stage later this month.

The Undergraduate Honors Convocation recognized dozens of students for their academic achievements, their research and their leadership and service.

Deans, professors and administrators from the College of Arts and Sciences, Knauss School of Business, Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering, Honors Program and undergraduate minor programs within the School of Leadership and Education Sciences were on stage, but the spotlight was on the students. One by one they walked up to collect a stole for their graduation gown, or an award for their achievement.

USD leaders and students alike were beaming throughout the event, which reminded everyone in attendance of what kind of impact these Changemakers will have on our future.

“By celebrating all of you, we define the roadmap for others to follow. It’s a signal. Public recognition builds a success mindset in each of you, giving you the confidence to tackle even larger challenges ahead.” President James T. Harris III, EdD said. “Our society needs you more than ever today. We need to hear your voice. You’re the brightest and the best.”
