Event
On Silence: Silence, the End and the Eternal

What space is there for silence in an increasingly loud and noisy world? What does it mean to reflect upon silence and to perhaps find solace in it? What dangers might lie in retreating to silence when there are pressing problems to talk about? In short, what is silence and why might it be of value? In this wide-ranging series of panel discussions — which will accompany this semester’s exhibitions, screenings and musical performances — speakers from a variety of disciplines will reflect upon the meaning of silence and its place in human life.
