Bonita Vista High Students Adjusting to New Start Time

Dr. Reyes

Dr. Reyes Quezada, Professor and Chair of the Department of Learning and Teaching at the School of Leadership and Education Sciences, shares collaborative solutions on how schools, families and students can adjust to the new start times at Bonita Vista High.

Research has shown that teenagers do not get enough sleep and Bonita Vista High School and other California middle and high public schools have moved to later start times to meet new state law. Start and end times have changed for students this year from 8:10 a.m.-3:25 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.-3:40 p.m.
