RISE San Diego Urban Fellows Program
Dr. Zachary Green, Professor of Practice and Director of Leadership Development at The Nonprofit Institute discusses the RISE San Diego Urban Fellows Program.
In 2014, RISE San Diego in collaboration with the University of San Diego School of Leadership and Education Sciences (SOLES) created the RISE Urban Leadership Fellows Program. The program was developed under the SOLES Leadership Institute, now part of the Nonprofit Institute, and led by faculty member Dr. Green. The 12 month long fellows program was designed to empower leaders from underserved, urban communities in San Diego. The training offers the opportunity to build skills, capacity and networks to achieve meaningful and sustained change they seek for their communities.
“RISE’s unique goal and commitment is to help identify and empower a generation of leaders who will not only bring our urban communities up, but also bring them together,” (risesandiego.org).
