Torero Talks: Four Alumni Share Inspiring Stories of How They've Gone 'Beyond the Limits'

One highlight for all University of San Diego Homecoming and Family festivities is a chance to reconnect with our fellow Torero alumni and see what’s happening now. How have they taken what was learned and applied knowledge to their career path, to discover new adventures and deepen their experiences to make a true difference in the world?

On Thursday afternoon of USD’s 2020 virtual Homecoming and Family Week, Senior Alumni Director Charles Bass had the opportunity to host “Torero Talks” on Zoom with four outstanding alumni over the course of a one-hour program.

Dr. Kecia Brown ’00 (MA, SOLES), Salvador “Chava” Mercado-Cano ’06 (BA Psychology, Communications), Joy Utomi Hartmann ’11 (JD) and Nursing’s Deena Drake ’13 (MSN), ’19 (PhD) shared inspirational stories of going “Beyond the Limits” to reach success and opportunity.
