Thrive Schools' Dream is a Linda Vista Connection to USD

Nicole Assisi '02 (BA), ’06 (Credential, MEd), was a student doing undergraduate studies and then a master's degree at the University of San Diego when her initial dream took shape.

Studying English, Communications and earning a teaching credential, Assisi believed that “any community can become a thriving community through the power of education.”

Assisi, now CEO of Thrive Public Schools, is beginning to see the impact that Thrive can have on her dream in the community of Linda Vista. Thrive built a Linda Vista building for K-8 students on Comstock last year. Thrive already has Linda Vista High School. Put the two schools together, Assisi is also envisioning the ultimate dream scenario: connect Thrive schools with her college alma mater.

The K-8 school, located two miles from the USD campus, could legitimately give Linda Vista students the possibility of going from preschool-to-PhD, attending schools that are literally on the same road in town.
