USD School of Law Professors Honored at Fall Convocation

SAN DIEGO (September 12, 2022) ­– Three University of San Diego (USD) School of Law Professors were honored last week at the university-wide Fall Convocation of the Faculty and Administration. Warren Distinguished Professor of Law Orly Lobel was recognized as a University Professor, the highest academic honor bestowed university-wide at USD. Professor of Law Ted Sichelman was recognized as the 2022-2023 Herzog Endowed Scholar. Professor of Law Michael Ramsey was recognized as the Class of 1975 Endowed Professor.

The Fall Convocation was held in the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice theater. In total, nine professors from across the university were recognized with various awards. Senior Vice President and Provost Dr. Gail F. Baker welcomed the award winners and attendees. Associate Dean of the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science and Professor Dr. Kathy Marsh offered an invocation. Then, following a greeting by the Chair of the University Senate Dr. Steve Sumner, President James T. Harris III presented the awards. The evening was rounded out by a reception in the new Knauss Center for Business Education.
