SAN DIEGO (February 17, 2021) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law students recently competed in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition, securing Best Brief and First Place awards in their Los Angeles Regional showing. The competition was held on February 6 and is sponsored by the International Trademark Association. It familiarizes law students with important issues arising in unfair competition and U.S. trademark law.

Congratulations to USD students Alyssa Alarab (2L), Lissette Argoud (2L), Alberto Corona (3L), Allison Washburn (2L), and coach Andrew Rodriguez, ’18 (JD), for their outstanding efforts in tackling the brief and oral sections of the competition. After the oral argument, all four students received praise from the judges, including two U.S. District Court judges and two Trademark and Trial Appeal Board judges.

With this regional win, the students advance to the national round of competition, held on March 13.
