SAN DIEGO (September 24, 2020) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law alumna Eve A. Brackmann, ’04 (JD), was elected to the Orange County Bar Association's (OCBA) Board of Directors for a three-year term starting in January 2021. Brackmann is a partner in Stuart Kane LLP’s Newport Beach office and a member of the USD Orange County Law Alumni Chapter Board. She practices business litigation with a focus on real property disputes, and is also a winning appellate practitioner.

In her candidate statement, Brackman shares that as an OCBA Board member, "I will focus on fostering maximal inclusion and participation in our OCBA. My efforts will focus on diversity in our membership and leadership. I will also further our efforts at promoting ethics and professional conduct. I view these as core elements in strengthening our profession and our clients’ access to justice."

"I will also work to make sure that our OCBA’s voice is heard at the State Bar regarding the serious changes they are proposing in our legal profession. Additionally, I will strive to build even greater ties between the OCBA and the Orange County business community."
