SAN DIEGO (June 24, 2020) - University of San Diego (USD) School of Law Dean and Professor of Law Stephen C. Ferruolo was interviewed June 15 about the February bar examination results. USD School of Law students outperformed most test-takers, with a 43% pass rate, which is significantly higher than the overall pass rate of 26.8% for the 4,205 people who sat the bar examination.

Stephen C. Ferruolo, dean at University of San Diego School of Law, noted that the February bar exam results tend to vary because fewer people take the exam. "It's no surprise. It reflects the usual volatility and variability that we see from year to year," Ferruolo said. "But it highlights the disparate impact on California's high cut score, particularly with respect to African Americans.”
