Professor of Law Mila Sohoni Awarded 2020 Cudahy Winner by the American Constitution Society

SAN DIEGO (June 5, 2020) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law 2019-2020 Herzog Endowed Scholar and Professor of Law Mila Sohoni’s article “The Lost History of the ‘Universal’ Injunction” was recently selected by the American Constitution Society as one of two winners in the 2020 Richard D. Cudahy Writing Competition on Regulatory and Administrative Law. A testament to the strength of this year’s scholarship, this is the first time the writing competition will present multiple awards in the lawyer category. Professor Sohoni will share this year’s honor with Adelbert H. Sweet Professor of Law Anne Joseph O’Connell of Stanford for her article, “Actings.”

Awarded by the American Constitution Society, the Richard D. Cudahy Writing Competition honors pieces that reflect Judge Cudahy’s legacy of insightful scholarship on regulatory and administrative law. This year’s awards will be presented virtually on June 8 at the American Constitution Society’s annual convention.

2019-2020 Herzog Endowed Scholar and Professor of Law Mila Sohoni teaches and writes in the areas of civil procedure, administrative law, federal courts, legislation and health law. She has received multiple honors for past scholarship, and in 2018, was awarded the Thorsnes Prize for Excellence in Teaching, which is given by student vote.
