National Trial Team Takes Top Honors at America’s Finest City Competition in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (November 26, 2019) – Students from USD School of Law’s National Trial Team took first place in the America’s Finest City Mock Trial Competition held recently in San Diego. Students Ashley Barton (3L), Morgan Chase (3L), Kenneth Ely (3L), and Madison Gottfredson (3L) and their coach Michael Goldfaden won the highly competitive final round to succeed as the top team. The USD National Trial Team, coached by seasoned litigation attorneys, teaches law students the art of trial advocacy and molds strong future litigators.

The event, hosted by the San Diego Defense Lawyers and Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, welcomed 16 teams from law schools around the country. The final competition took place in USD School of Law’s Grace Courtroom.
