Allison Goddard ’00 (JD) Appointed to Judgeship

SAN DIEGO (August 26, 2019) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law alumna Allison Goddard, ’00 (JD), was appointed as the newest magistrate judge in San Diego federal court, succeeding the retired U.S. Magistrate Judge Nita Stormes.

Goddard is best known for her work representing employees and consumers in class actions, as well as patentholders in intellectual property disputes.

She has been active in the legal community, including serving as president of the San Diego chapter of the Federal Bar Association in 2009 and as a lawyer representative for the Southern District of California from 2011 to 2013. She coaches a high school mock trial team to compete in the county’s annual competition.
