SAN DIEGO (November 30, 2018) – The San Diego Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (SD ABOTA) has named University of San Diego (USD) School of Law Alumnus Alan K. Brubaker, ’76 (JD), as the recipient of the George McClehahan and Peter Hughes Civility Award.

“Alan is clearly worthy of this award named in honor of long-time USD Board of Trustees member, Peter Hughes, ” said USD School of Law Dean Stephen C. Ferruolo.  “He exemplifies civility not just in how he practices our noble profession, but in everything that he does. We are so honored to have him among our alumni and thankful for all that he does for our law school and the legal community.”

Brubaker is a partner with Wingert Grebing Brubaker & Juskie LLP. He devotes his practice to complex civil litigation, including business and intellectual property disputes, product liability claims and employment matters. Brubaker serves as Chair of the Board on the USD Board of Visitors, and was 1998-99 President of the USD Law Alumni Board.

The award will be presented at San Diego ABOTA’s Winter Holiday Gala and Installation Dinner on December 8, 2018 at La Jolla Country Club.
