Dr. Christopher Adler Presents May Online Performances

Christopher Adler's music and musicianship will be taking part in a few online performances this month.

First, his solos: Three for Khaen house concert series continues on Wednesday, May 13, at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific time) with a third edition, presented in partnership with the Nief-Norf organization (a presenting organization, an ensemble, and an annual new music festival in Knoxville, Tennessee). This livestream concert will feature Dr. Adler performing his own composition Epilogue for a Dark Day alongside other works. Join this event on the Virtual Norf Space page.

On May 16 and 17, the New West Evolving Arts and Music Organism (NWEAMO), a San Diego-based organization, will present its multi-genre 2020 festival on-line, featuring video submissions from around the world. The video screenings on May 17 at 2pm (Pacific time) will include Dr. Adler's Telephon-no. 2B-12z from Zaum Box, a theatrical realization of the wild 1914 sound poem by Vasily Kamensky, performed by percussionist Katelyn King and filmed in Berlin by cinematographer Ute Freund. Finally, Synchromy will present an on-line version of an event originally scheduled on May 9 to celebrate Bird Day LA, in partnership with Debs Park Audubon The event will feature the world premiere of Dr. Adler's bassoon solo The Ash-throated Flycatcher.
