Interim Dean Barbara Lougee was featured in the San Diego Business Journal’s annual publication, "Most Influential Women in Accounting 2019." She is one of 44 women to be recognized among trailblazers who are helping define their company's goals and advance their businesses forward.

Interim Dean Barbara Lougee has used her MBA, MS and PhD in accounting, all from Cornell University, as a springboard for leadership and success in industry and higher education. After joining USD as professor of accounting due to the school’s values-based education, she received numerous Outstanding Professor awards, Impact Award and Professor of the Year award. In 2016, Lougee was the first woman to become associate dean of graduate programs at the USD School of Business. She rose the school to 60th best MBA in the nation rated by Bloomberg Businessweek in 2018.
