The USD Career Development Center compiles data on students completing their undergraduate degrees each year. This data, gathered from multiple sources, reflects the initial career destinations for 82.7% of the 150 engineering and computer science students that graduated between August 2017 and May 2018 from the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering.

  • 91.1% are employed, in graduate school, in the military,or participating in full-time volunteer service.
  • 98% of respondents who are employed full time reported that they received their first job offer within three months of graduating.
  • 93.8% of respondents who are employed full time reported that their current position at least  somewhat align with their career goals.
  • Average salary for responding graduates, including all engineering disciplines and computer science, was $60,614.
  • Computer Science graduate respondents average salary was $82,889.
