Part II: Class of 2020 Graduates Share Their Amazing Stories

Three exceptional USD graduates were recently profiled by Univision, and shared powerful, personal stories of what their education means to them. Andrea García (Kroc/MA in Peace and Justice), Mariana Acedo (Law) and Juan Pablo Galindo (Engineering) embody the Torero spirit, and we couldn't be more proud of the successes they've achieved, and will continue to achieve in the future!

Andrea García's grandparents were immigrants from Costa Rica and Nicaragua, and her family's love for education inspired her to work hard. With the help of a scholarship, it's all paying off as she graduates with her Master of Arts in Peace and Justice from USD's Kroc School of Peace Studies.

After completing law school in Guadalajara, Mexico, Mariana Acedo was attracted to USD School of Law where she could become a lawyer in the U.S. As she graduates, she will apply her skills to help jump start businesses in both countries.

Juan Pablo Galindo was very involved in the International Student Organization at USD, where he met and learned from people of all kinds of cultures. As he graduates, he's excited to take his industrial and systems engineering degree to the next stage in life.
