This is your USD News Minute.

Tomorrow, Toreros from around the globe will take part in USD’s annual day of giving – Torero Tuesday. Every donation, no matter the size, can make a difference. Thousands of donors helped raise more than two million dollars last year, helping fund scholarships, extracurricular activities and more. Let’s go, Toreros!

As USD’s Year of Wellness continues, a special event exploring holistic well-being and community care. Everyone is invited to the 2025 Women of Color Summit Saturday at the UC Forum. There will be storytelling, interactive art and more. Check the link below for details.

And join us in celebrating the distinguished career of law professor Roy L. Brooks. After 47 years of teaching, Brooks is preparing to retire. He’ll talk about his life and legacy as an internationally recognized scholar who’s done notable work on civil rights, democratic theory, and more. That’s Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Manchester Hall.
