The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of San Diego is excited to introduce the third edition of the annual Arts & Sciences magazine.

This edition offers a comprehensive collection of stories that highlight key college news, events and milestones. One feature article explores the meaning of a liberal arts education and details the immense impact liberal arts courses have at USD. The second feature story showcases faculty and student research “from soil to sound,” redefining scholarship through hands-on experiences and inquiry.

More stories include a look at advising programs helping our students prepare for careers in health, science and justice, an in-depth view of the Honors Program and glimpses of standout students, faculty and alumni.

Comprising a breadth of academic disciplines across the college, Arts & Sciences magazine presents readers with an anthology of perspectives on the college’s ongoing activities — building community and advancing the university’s values.

On Oct. 20, the college will start releasing at least one story per week, displaying engaging profiles, announcements and articles from the magazine.
