Fourth and Long: It is Time to Reconsider the Governance of a Uniquely American Game, College Football
University of San Diego President James T. Harris authored an Op-Ed in The New York Times focused on collegiate football and the imbalance of power created by the “Power Four” conferences.
He argues that having a separate governing body for collegiate football outside the NCAA would help level the playing field for all student-athletes, nurture other non-football sports programs, support opportunities for women, and focus more attention on Olympic sports.
