USD News Minute: What you need to know this week at USD

This is your USD News Minute.

The San Diego Public Library and USD’s Copley Library are hosting their annual Black History Month Author Talk with author Megan Giddings as she discusses her debut novel, Lakewood, in the Mother Hill Reading Room at Copley Library tomorrow at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

And, congratulations to Roy L. Brooks, Dr. Zachary Gabriel Green, Dr. Rhonda Harley, Dr. Nakeisha Lewis and Dr. Nicole Whitner for being recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of the top black leaders of influence in San Diego. 

Congratulations are also in order for engineering professors Dr. Kathleen Kramer and Dr. GB Singh who were just honored with the Outstanding Leadership in Engineering Award during the San Diego Engineers Week banquet.

USD Golf swept the 2025 Prestige Golf Tournament at PGA West last week, capturing both the team and individual titles for the first time since 2016.
