This is your USD News Minute.
USD’s Jacobs Institute of Innovation in Education’s ImPactful program took local middle and high school students to the Tijuana River Estuary this weekend, to get a firsthand look at some of the environmental challenges our region faces. They learned from park rangers, designed innovative solutions, and even interacted with students in Mexico to share what they learned.
The Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate is hosting its Dialogue Series event this Thursday, Feb 2. The event will feature USD Knauss School of Business professor Tara Ceranic Salinas and Debra Baker from Growth Play. The two will discuss how to lead with confidence through effective self-advocacy, relationship building and getting rid of imposter syndrome. The event will be hosted at the Kroc Theatre from 7:30 to 10:30 in the morning. Tickets are $10 for students and $85 for the general public.
And if you haven’t subscribed yet, be sure to subscribe to the USD Media Relations team’s podcast called “At the Edge of it All” that features interviews with people in the USD community. New episodes are released every Wednesday on major platforms.
As always, thank you for watching and we’ll see you next week.
