This is your USD News Minute.
Congratulations to the USD Women’s Volleyball Team! The City of San Diego proclaimed January 10, 2023 to be “USD Volleyball Day.” This recognition comes after the team’s first-ever Final Four in the program’s history.
Orly Lobel, Warren Distinguished Professor of Law, was named a mentor for the Racial Equity in Technology Policy Accelerator– a joint initiative by the Federation of American Scientists and the Kapor Center. The accelerator aims to identify, develop, and publish a set of racial justice and technology policy ideas to be implemented by the legislative and executive branches.
USD nursing school students and faculty put their experience to use during mid-flight medical emergencies. On two separate flights they sprang into action to provide treatment – an unforgettable experience before embarking on a learning trip overseas. You can read more about it in the USD News Center.
As always, thank you for watching and we’ll see you next week.
