Innovation on Display at SMSE Engineering and Computing Showcase

The Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering (SMSE) held its annual Engineering and Computing Showcase in the Belanich Engineering Center (BEC) on May 13.

Each May, seniors from USD’s SMSE gather to present their capstone projects. These projects have been envisioned, deconstructed, rebuilt and continuously tinkered throughout the school year. The 2022 showcase featured more than 35 collaborative teams of graduating seniors presenting their innovative projects. 

Categories include Competition and Community, Industry-Sponsored, Entrepreneurship, Industrial and Systems, and Computer Science. Projects were scattered around BEC, including in Donald’s Garage, the Fab Lab, and the Ideation Space.
