This is your USD News Minute. 

As a reminder, the spring semester will start remotely on January 27 and transition to in-person instruction on February 7. Students will need to get tested for COVID-19 prior to returning to campus and proof of a booster vaccination is also required. For detailed information on the latest health and safety protocols, head to our Onward USD website.

HireUSD is back in the new year for a variety of events through March. Students and alumni can take advantage of career-building sessions like a resume review, virtual networking nights and a LinkedIn Master Class for Alumni Professionals. Head to alumni.sandiego.edu for more information. 

Dr. Odesma Dalrymple, Dr. Joi Spencer and Dr. Perla Myers spoke with Futurum Magazine (pg. 44) about their work creating The STEAM Team Academy, a week-long STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) educational experience for middle and high school students – with a goal to make STEAM learning accessible to everyone.
