This is your USD News Minute.

Following months of hybrid instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University is welcoming students back to campus as we kick off the fall semester. More than 1,500 new and transfer students now call USD home. Many of them moved in this weekend. Welcome home Toreros! The first day of classes is Wednesday.

An essay written by rising senior Rachel Shellstrom was printed in Liberal Education, the flagship quarterly of the Association of American Colleges and Universities. The essay focuses on the lessons learned from the transition to remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
