Ann Lawani, a PhD student at the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science, is a practicing nurse at Sharp Coronado Hospital where she has seen the pandemic's effect first hand. "For a lot of my colleagues, it was a heavy mental strain," Lawani said. She spoke with NBC 7 to share her personal account of working with COVID patients.
