This is your USD News Minute.

In celebration of Black History Month, the San Diego Public Library and USD Copley Library will be hosting a conversation with author Anne C. Bailey. Bailey will be discussing her newest book, “The Weeping Time: Memory and the Largest Slave Auction in American History.” The February 25th virtual event begins at 6:30, it’s free and open to the public but registration is required.

Students in The Old Globe and the USD Shiley Graduate Acting Program embraced a new way of theatre in their virtual production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The Old Globe team came to each student’s home and set up production equipment, creating a personal stage at their home while teaching them how to use the equipment. You can watch the production until February 28.

And congratulations to USD President James T. Harris and USD School of Law and School of Business Adjunct professor and alum, Ronson Shamoun. Both received the Helmsmen San Diego Award by Discover Magazines, the award recognizes successful leaders who give back to their communities. As always, thank you for watching, we’ll see you next week.
