This is your USD News Minute.

With the end of the Fall semester and with the upcoming holidays, our community deserves a well-earned break for Christmas and New Year’s. As such, our Dining Services and campus temperature screening stations will be closed from December 24 through January 3.

In the meantime, we encourage our community to take advantage of the state’s California Notify system. You can access it via your smartphone, allowing you to be notified when you’ve been around someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. The system does not tap into your personal information and it’s easy to set up. For more information, visit their website.

And while we won’t be on campus until the new year, we want to remind you to continue to follow the safety protocols outlined by local health professionals during our holiday break. These health and safety measures are designed to keep you and your families safe and will contribute to a successful and healthy return to campus in the new year.

We wish you a safe and healthy holiday. As always, thank you for watching, see you next year.
