This is your USD News Minute. So many exciting things are happening at USD as we wrap up our first week of this Fall semester, starting with the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at the School of Business. Through their new Toreropreneur program, any USD student can embark on an exciting journey that starts with the Legacy Entrepreneurship Conference in a couple of weeks, and ends with launching an actual business before graduating.

And speaking of opportunities, the College of Arts and Sciences and the engineering school have been awarded a million dollar grant from the National Science Foundation to recruit and to mentor a group of STEM superstars and future leaders.

USD Votes is also leading the way when it comes to registering students to vote in the upcoming election. They have many exciting contests happening on social media and plenty of information so that you can make your vote count.

And if you’re still looking for a way to connect and get involved at USD, don’t miss this year’s virtual Alcala Bazaar taking place on August 25 and 27. Visit their website for videos and other tools to help you navigate this remote experience.

Thank you for watching and we’ll see you next week.
