USD Student's Class Project Evolves Into Online Charity Concert

Logo for the Aesthetic Festival
What started off as USD student Jessica Nakamoto's class project in our "Career Designs in Music" course has evolved into an online music festival with a goal of fundraising for two different causes. While the "Aesthetic Festival" event itself is free to watch on IGTV, viewers can make donations through Aesthetic Magazine's GoFundMe page and 100% percent of the funds raised will be donated directly to and split evenly between Black Lives Matter and Crew Nation (a global relief fund for live music production crews impacted by the global pandemic). The online festival will take place this Saturday, July 18 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pacific Time and will be hosted on Aesthetic Magazine's Instagram TV page. The line-up includes 23 rock/pop/alternative artists and the festival will be headlined by The Beaches, HUNNY and Chase Bell. The full line-up and more information can be found at https://aestheticmagazinetoronto.com/tag/aesthetic-festival/.
