Associated Student Government Hosts Q&A with Administrators on Reopening Campus for Fall 2020

Incoming 2020-21 University of San Diego Associated Student Government President Joey Abeyta and ASG Vice President Justin Daus co-hosted a question-and-answer Zoom session for 90 minutes on ASG's YouTube channel Thursday night with various USD administrators providing the most up-to-date information possible.

The questions posed focused on several aspects of USD's decision to open the campus up for the Fall 2020 semester which is scheduled to start on Aug. 17. Orientation is slated to begin Aug. 13. Among the topics discussed include tuition, residential life, housing, health protocols in place regarding COVID-19, hybrid and remote teaching and more. All questions were submitted by the USD community.

The participants from USD administration were Carmen Vazquez, vice president of student affairs; Melissa Halter, assistant vice president of student wellness; Luke LaCroix, assistant dean of students; Neena Din, associate dean, College of Arts and Sciences and adjunct professor of biology; Denise Dimon, associate provost for international affairs and professor of economics; Rick Olson, associate dean and professor, industrial and systems engineering, Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering; Margaret Leary, assistant vice president of strategic initiatives and programs; and Peter Marlow, associate vice president, university communications.
