University of San Diego’s 12th Annual Wine Classic Goes Virtual

For the first time in the University of San Diego (USD)’s history, the Wine Classic event is going virtual. The USD Wine Classic is the USD Alumni Association’s signature scholarship fundraising event. The event has raised more than $640,000 for the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund in the last 12 years. Once again, net proceeds from this year’s event will provide critical scholarship funds to support current underrepresented USD students.

Who: University of San Diego Alumni Association

What: 12th Annual Wine Classic

When: Saturday July 11, 2020 at 4:45 p.m.

Where: Online

Preparing for a virtual toast from coast-to-coast, the USD Alumni Association will conduct this event with a host of fun activities, such as guided tastings with winemakers, interactive games, music performances, random giveaways, and a silent auction. More than half of the wineries involved in the event have a University of San Diego connection, meaning they are owned or managed by an alumnus/alumna or USD parent.

For the first time, a virtual Marketplace will be available for the public to purchase wines, discounted hotel rooms and retail items from local businesses that continue to give back and support University of San Diego students through the USD Wine Classic event.

To learn more about the event and register for free, please visit the USD Wine Classic website.
