COVID-19 Summer Research Fellows

COVID-19 Summer Research Fellows

COVID-19 Research Fellow

SAN DIEGO (June 1, 2020) – Professor Dov Fox, Director of the Center for the Study of Health Law and Bioethics, will be directing twelve University of San Diego (USD) School of Law students who will serve as COVID-19 Summer Research Fellows. Students will conduct research and write articles/papers addressing legal and ethical issues related to COVID-19, specifically those involving the healthcare sector.

Research Fellows will undertake in-depth analyses of pressing concerns and critical questions of law, policy, governance, and ethics growing out of the global pandemic.

This unique fellowship opportunity will enable law students to contribute to a meaningful understanding of the underlying legal and ethical issues stemming from this crisis—as a means of contributing to stable recovery.

Professor Fox and Dean Stephen C. Ferruolo appreciate the underwriting support of Illumina, Buchalter Law Firm, and Linden Root Dickinson Foundation as supporters of COVID-19 Summer Research Fellows.

As USD School of Law students seek employment opportunities despite the impact of COVID-19 on the legal market in San Diego and elsewhere, we hope that you will consider sponsoring a COVID-19 Summer Research Fellow.
