The 2020 Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge Is Underway

Mark your calendar and save the date! The Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge is underway and we want you to join us for the USD finals on Wednesday, April 29 and for the Global Finals on Saturday, June 13.

The Challenge kicked off for students with Round One on February 26. Student submitted projects ranging from temporary lodging for first responders in emergencies, to a plan to recycle decommissioned wind turbines blades, to a venture aimed at helping survivors of sexual assault. These social innovators and student leaders are exemplary. This Challenge is no small task — these students dedicate their time and talents to enter this competition on top of their scholastic endeavors.

In the first round, students detailed their problem landscape and demonstrated an understanding of the community they aim to serve and the problem they hope to address. This next round requires students to dig in and map their business model. This second round culminates in a 10-minute pitch in front of a panel of judges. Join us at our USD Finals on Wednesday, April 29 where each team will win you over with their elevator pitches. Each student venture will be showcased, and seed funding and in-kind prizes will be awarded.
