This is your USD News Minute.

USD is preparing students to vote with the “Get Registered, Get Informed” event on campus. This event is an easy way for students to drop in, register to vote, and learn about the California ballot propositions and 2020 presidential candidates. Get all the information you need, including voter registration deadlines, at sandiego.edu/vote.

USD is honoring Black History Month by highlighting black excellence on and off campus. Associate dean and professor Joi Spencer of the School of Leadership and Education Sciences was recently recognized by the Elementary Institute of Science for helping to pave paths for local girls in STEM fields. Learn more about what motivates Prof. Spencer on the USD News Center.

Join WCC Commissioner Gloria Nevarez to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Nevarez will speak at the Jenny Craig Pavilion prior to the women’s basketball game against Pacific. All are welcome and tickets are free.
